London Clinics are closing!
Due to the unfortunate changes in medical practice licensing in the UK, Dr Paivi´s London clinics are closing.
This means that the last clinics in London will be in May 2016. In the future Dublin clinics will have more availability and telephone consultations continue normally. All hormone orders, based on telephone consultations, will be available normally aslong as you have a clinic appointment every two-years.
If London is easier for you than Dublin, please book your appointment to the extra London clinic in May.
In 2016 The General Medical Council GMC has set a new standard guidance according to which all licensed doctors in the UK must have a "designated body or suitable person" who knows the doctor's medical field/specialty. Since Dr Paivi is the only expert in her medical field in the UK, she has been unable to find a GMC approved "suitable person". Since the suitable person must be licensed in the UK, it rules out all of Dr Paivi´s A4M top professionals in the USA. An alternative option would be for Dr Paivi to take part in an exam/assessment in one of the given specialties. Unfortunately none of those test areas cover Preventive Medicine. The last option for Dr Paivi would be to go back to work as a "normal doctor" in the NHS, which she is not planning to do.
This is, by no means, a reflection of Dr Paivi´s medical expertise as she continues being the first and only A4M Fellowship, Board Certified Doctor in Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine in the UK.
Even if Preventive Medicine is not recognized by GMC today, it will change in the future, as it has already changed in many other countries besides UK. So there is still some hope.
Until then we have to follow these new rules.
Dublin clinics in Ireland continue normally
Telephone / Skype consultations continue normally
Hormone orders continue normally as long as you have your clinic appointment every two-years.
Temporary London clinics (1-2 per years) might come if/when approved by GMC.
