First consultation: what to expect
what to expect
Dr Shedd will work closely with your own doctor/health care physician to monitor your health status and well being throughout your treatment. This means that you are required to have clinic consultations with your own doctor regularly (once a year) as well as laboratory tests.
All laboratory tests will be specifically outlined according to your health needs and treatment plan.
During the first consultation Dr Shedd will

First Consultation: 280€
All available consultations can be booked on our website. Consultations are always charged in full when booking however you can cancel your appointment 72hrs before the consultation and will receive a full refund. Cancellations can be easily done by clicking on the cancellation link in the confirmation email.
Before booking your First Consultation please fill out a Questionnaire and sign a Patient Agreement form.
Both forms are sent directly to and handled only by Dr Shedd.

What will happen after First Consultation
After your first consultation you can purchase the recommended tests on Order Test Kits-page. You can also do laboratory tests elsewhere if you do not wish to purchase Genova test kits. Dr Shedd will provide you with more information regarding Genova test kits and other alternative laboratory tests.
All laboratory test kits sold on our website are provided by Genova Diagnostics, a fully accredited medical laboratory, which specializes in clinical laboratory services and helps healthcare providers in personalizing treatments for patients.
Your test kits come with detailed instructions on how to proceed with the sample needed and how to ship it safely. We recommend sending the samples by next day delivery.
Laboratory results take 2-3 weeks to be completed. When your laboratory results are ready you will receive an email from Dr Shedd. You must then need to book a telephone consultation to discuss the results. After your telephone consultation you will receive a detailed treatment plan, supplement recommendations and hormone prescriptions.

We offer a wide range of Genova Diagnostics hormone tests that can be either taken at home (saliva and urine tests) as well as blood tests which require a visit to a laboratory.

First hormone order
Hormones are ordered from Receptura which is an international compounding pharmacy in Germany.
After your treatment plan is ready, Dr Shedd will send your hormone prescription electronically to Receptura.
You will then receive an email from Receptura with instructions on how to pay for your order. Your order needs to be paid before Receptura begins processing your hormones.
Hormone orders take 3-4 weeks to be completed and sent to you.

It is vital that Dr Shedd can monitor your health and well being throughout your treatment and this is why you must have check ups with your own doctor once (1) a year. In addition to visits to your own doctor, you need to have a telephone consultation with Dr Shedd once (1) a year.
You will always need to book a telephone consultation in the following cases:

to alter your ongoing bio-identical hormone treatment

to discuss your current health status and get all your health related questions answered

to discuss laboratory results

when you´re experiencing unusual or concerning symptoms as a result of your current treatment

once (1) a year for health monitoring purposes
Prescription renewals can be done using our Online Clinic form
We offer a quick and easy way to renew prescriptions online. You can request a new prescription when:

your last consultation with Dr Shedd was less than 12 months ago
-
you are not experiencing any unusual or concerning symptoms as a result of your current treatment
-
you are comfortable with continuing your most recent plan
Prescription renewals are ready within 2 working days. Hormone orders take 3-4 weeks to be processed and sent to you. This is why we recommend ordering new prescriptions and hormones well in advance.

What about quick questions for Dr Shedd that do not require a consultation?
We offer a Quick Questions- online form which you can use to ask health related questions that do not require ongoing correspondence. You will receive a reply within 48 hrs. If you are looking for a more in depth consultation you need to book a telephone consultation. All submitted forms and questions are personally handled by Dr Shedd.
